These new smart phones are great because they take good pictures/video and make it so easy to do.  The downside is that we both have so many videos and pics on our smart phones that never make it to the blog or even the computer.

Victoria was showing me some pics on her phone today and then I discovered this video.  This was taken a few weeks back…but you can see what a typical evening or an afternoon is like for me and the boys.  This explains where are the pics are (Victoria had 850+ pics/videos on her phone, most of them I had never seen before) and it also explains why I don’t have time to sit around and write little stories on this blog.  😉

Where has the time gone?  I haven’t posted to the blog in quite some time…

What a better time than now to post…Jacob will be 2 years old.  Hard to imagine that Victoria’s water broke two years ago (some 5 weeks early) and Jacob soon followed.

He was so tiny and now look at how big he his!

We don’t take nearly as many pictures as we used too as it is challenging lugging the camera around with two kids now a days.  Plus we are always keeping an eye on Jacob because he always thinks he can do what big brother does.  (I even caught big brother trying to coax Jacob into doing dangerous things…like jumping off the couch.)

“Mama”, “Dada”, “Back” (for rub my back), and “Pop” (for popcorn) are Jacob’s favorite words.  He definitely learned more sign language than Connor did and uses that to communicate with us.  He’s even made up a few signs of his own.

It only took him 23 months and 3 weeks until he took his first nap with Daddy.  It’s not from a lack of trying on my part!  Jacob loves his room and his crib.  Pull the shade shut, turn the light off, turn on his “crickets” sound machine, and shut the door.  Not a peep out of him until he wakes from his night’s sleep or his nap. Sure beats those first 2-3 months with him…sleeping was challenging because of his acid reflux (which is no longer).

Him and Connor are best buds…kiss and hug one another.  Play with one another…try to share with one another…but most of all, they love one another. Jacob…you have grown so much in the last 6 months…you are truly entering the “toddler years”…our last baby is no longer a baby…but as Uncle Danny and Uncle Chad can tell you, you will always be “Mommy’s baby”.

This video is a bit long (16+ mins), but it gives you a glimpse into what Jacob has been up to during his first two years of life…
